Welcome to Marshfield Junior Football Club.

The new season beckons for Marshfield Juniors and this year we will be running 9 teams at age levels from U7-U16, including a U13 girls team. Last season was a resounding success with two of our teams finishing as league champions. The U15 team under the management of Bob Ashton and Howard Finnegan stormed to their division title, winning by 9 points with an impressive goal difference of plus 80. Our U9 team, under Dave Flint and Lorna Clarke, were equally impressive winning their league title thanks to a draw in a nail-biting final game against nearest rivals Chippenham. 2 league champions, not bad for a small village! Our U14 team were also awarded £250 by the league, as contenders for the 'Fair Play' title.

Our 120 registered players are supported by a dedicated band of coaches and managers, who give up their time willingly to help our local youngsters enjoy competitive sport on their doorstep. The players are also supported by an army of Mums and Dads, who ferry their children all over Wiltshire, wash kit, buy bacon rolls and stand on the touchline at the Withymead in all weathers!

The coming season sees new teams, new coaches and new players all joining forces to make the Withymead a hive of activity on Saturday's and Sundays. Our expansion has been so rapid over the last few year, that together with the senior football club we have managed to construct the new training pitch, which will be up and running by the end of September. Our thanks, as always, to MORA and the Parish Council for their unwavering support in our efforts to improve the already fantastic facilities at the Withy.

Marshfield is a friendly club, which aims to give youngsters from the village and surrounding areas the opportunity to play competitive football and improve their skills. If you are interested in joining us, please look at the individual team pages for contact details of the relevant coaches - click on the 'Teams' button in the main menu on the left. The qualifying date for ages is the 31st August, so if you (or your child) is 10 on 31st August they would play for the U11 team and so on.
